Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana loves tangos as well the dramatic and opera performances. At age 16 she began to sing and study music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began giving her a more intensive singing instruction. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. She sang at Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a scholar and professional. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She's a frequent solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions, performing traditional Latin American Music. As a teacher and musician she has volunteered for various community-based projects due to her enthusiasm and passion for music. Ana has also been a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will bring about a desire, specifically in the younger generations to keep this tradition vibrant.
